Join us for a horseback ride through the beautiful little village of Debed in Armenia’s Lori Province, and the surrounding lush green mountains. Starting from the village, you’ll set off on a horseback ride with our local professional guide. Before you mount our horses, our guide will go over all the necessary safety requirements you need to know for your adventure. Don’t worry – all our horses are very friendly and used to human interaction. During our horseback riding adventure, you’ll see local village life as we trot through the village. You’ll cross a tributary of the Debed River, which flows near our village, and continue through the region’s beautiful, green wildlife. Along the way, you’ll see cultural and historic heritage sites, like a medieval chapel and a 12th century khachkar, or traditional Armenian cross-stone. Before heading back to the village, you’ll stop for a typical village meal (think local cheeses and yogurt, vegetables, bread, wild greens, and eggs) in the heart of nature with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains.
